Virginia Park is a K-6 school offering Arts Core programming in an inclusive, community-orientated environment. We offer drama, music, dance and visual arts instruction to all our students as well as integrated arts instruction as part of the programming for all our subject areas. We believe experiences in the arts provide opportunities for students to develop their competencies, explore who they are and deepen their understanding of the world they live in.
This school year our theme is “Renaissance”. We chose this theme this year to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the school! We chose the theme to reflect on our roots in the community as well as to celebrate the excellence of the school today. Our activities throughout the year, including our artists-in-residence, will reflect on this theme. We are also looking forward to the return of Fine Arts Night this spring!
Virginia Park School is full in planned classes in Kindergarten, Grades 1, 4, 5 and 6 in Arts Core Programming. A Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. We will now only accept resident students in Grades kindergarten, 1, 4, 5 and 6 who have newly moved into the school’s attendance area. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.
If you register for Kindergarten or are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.
Sincerely,
Ben Petruk
Principal
